Payment schedule

Depending on the destinations and the date, the payment schedule may vary. However, here is a sample payment schedule:

Initial deposit plus insurance on registration
Second payment 6 months prior to departure
Final payment (balance) 90 days prior to departure

Payments must be made by cheque. Passengers wishing to pay by credit card may do so. However, only Mastercard and Visa are accepted and a service charge of 4% will apply.

Rules for cancellation

All payments are fully non-refundable. If the suggested insurance is not purchased, there will be no refunds either before or after departure.

Should you wish to cancel your tour, you must notify Touringhouse in writing. Such notification will only be deemed to have been given on receipt of your letter.

Please state the reason for cancellation as you may be covered by your insurance policy. The reason for cancellation must comply with the conditions of the insurance in order for payments to be refundable.

We cannot give any allowance or refund for meals, rooms, excursions, etc., not taken when these are included in the price of the tour.

Optional insurance

Touringhouse realizes that no one likes to consider the unexpected problems that interrupt holiday plans. Unfortunately, difficulties occasionally do arise despite the most careful planning.

To offer peace of mind, we strongly recommend the purchase of a comprehensive All Inclusive Insurance from RBC Insurance.

This insurance provides reimbursement for penalties that may be assessed due to cancellation for covered reasons, but it also provides much more coverage.

Trip Cancellation (prior to departure) Up to sum insured
Trip Cancellation (after departure) Unlimited
Emergency Hospital/Medical Unlimited
Flight Accident Insurance Up to $100,000.00
Travel Accident Insurance Up to $50,000.00
Baggage and Personal Effects Up to $1,000.00
Baggage Delay Up to $400.00

Insurance can only be purchased at the time of the initial deposit. All claims must be subject to the conditions of the policy.

If insurance rates are quoted in the program, it normally is valid for persons up to 54 years of age.

It is the sole responsibility of the traveller to become familiar with the terms and conditions of the policy. An insurance brochure is available on request.

Passengers who do not wish to purchase insurance are requested to complete and sign the bottom portion of the application form, confirming that insurance was offered by Touringhouse.
