Tour itinerary
Day 1 - Day of departure
Depart on your overnight flight from Toronto or Montreal to Rome via a European gateway.

Day 2 - Rome / Sorrento
On arrival in Rome, you will be met by our ground operator and transferred to your hotel located in Sorrento. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure in Sorrento, which overlooks the gulf of the same name. It is a town of beautiful gardens and sunsets. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel.

Day 3 - Sorrento / Capri
This morning, after breakfast, depart for Capri by Hydrofoil. Enjoy a half day guided tour, to include Villa Jovis, the splendid ruin of the estate from which Tiberius ruled the empire from AD 27-37. After the tour, there will be free time for independent lunch and to explore this beautiful jet-setting island at your own pace. Return to Sorrento for dinner and the night.

Day 4 - Sorrento / Positano
After breakfast, depart on a half day excursion to Positano, in a delightful setting on the Amalfi Coast. The town is scattered with white-washed houses with terraced gardens facing the sea. There will be free time to roam around and enjoy the shops and restaurants. Return to your hotel in Sorrento for dinner and the night.

Day 5 - Sorrento / Naples / Palermo
After a leisurely buffet breakfast, check-out from your hotel and depart for Naples, in order to take a short flight to Palermo. On arrival, you will be met by our ground operator and transferred to your hotel, for an afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel in Palermo.

Day 6 - Palermo
Leisurely buffet breakfast, followed by a half day guided tour of Palermo to include Piazza Bellini, the Cathedral, the Arab-Norman Palatine Chapel in the Royal Palace. After a break for independent lunch, drive up to Monreale for a panoramic view of the Conca d'Oro and a visit to the 12th century Norman Cathedral famous for its precious Bizantine mosaics. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel in Palermo.

Day 7 - Palermo / Agrigento
After breakfast, depart on a full day excursion to Agrigento. Your tour will include the Valley of the Temples. Even travellers having visited Athens and Delphi are awed by the gigantic yet graceful Greek sculptures which have miraculously survived 24 centuries. Return to your hotel for dinner and the night.

Day 8 - Palermo / Taormina
After a leisurely buffet breakfast, check out from your hotel and depart for Taormina. It is a wonderful resort overlooking the sea, and facing Mt. Etna. It is renowned for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful monuments, views and gardens. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel./p>

Day 9 - Taormina
This morning, enjoy a leisurely buffet breakfast, followed by a half day guided tour to include the Greek Theatre and public gardens. The afternoon is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 10 - Taormina / Etna
Buffet breakfast at your hotel followed by a half day excursion to Etna, where you will have some free time to stroll on the pleasant promenade which affords many views of Mt. Etna and the Sicilian mountain range. The afternoon will be at leisure in Taormina. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 11 - Taormina / Siracusa
After breakfast, depart for Siracusa, where you will enjoy a half day guided tour. The name Siracusa suggests a warm climate, blue skies, a beautiful bay and the ancient ruins of a Greek City which was the rival of Athens. The remains of its historic splendour can still be seen at the Greek Theatre and the Roman Amphitheatre. After the tour, there will be some free time in Siracusa for independent lunch and to explore this beautiful city at your own pace. Return to Taormina by late afternoon. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel.

Day 12 - Taormina
Buffet breakfast at your hotel followed by a full day at leisure to enjoy the sun, the sand and the beach. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel.

Day 13 - Taormina / Catania / Rome
This morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Catania in order to take your short flight to Rome. On arrival in Rome, you will be met by our ground operator and transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure. Dinner this evening will be at your hotel, followed by a panoramic tour of "Rome by Night".

Day 14 - Rome
After breakfast, depart on a half day guided tour of historical Rome to include the Roman Forum, the Coliseum, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Trevi fountain and more. The afternoon is at leisure to do your last-minute souvenir shopping and/or further explore Rome at your own pace. Dinner this evening is at your hotel.

Day 15 - Rome
Early morning breakfast, followed by a half day guided tour of religious Rome, to include St. Peter's Square and Basilica, the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museum. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Rome on your own. We recommend a stroll along Piazza del Popolo, which has many excellent shops and boutiques. This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner at your hotel.

Day 16 - Day of Return
Transfer to the airport in order to take your return flight to Montreal or Toronto via a European gateway.
