Tour itinerary
Day 1 - Day of departure
Depart on your overnight flight to Barcelona via a European gateway.

Day 2 - Barcelona
Arrival in Barcelona, capital of Catalunya and the second largest city in Spain on the Mediterranean shore. Transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a walk on La Rambla with your Tour Escort. This is the most famous street in Barcelona, lined with palm trees.

Day 3 - Barcelona
Half day guided tour of Barcelona including the Gothic Quarter, one of the oldest and most interesting sights in Barcelona with its magnificent Cathedral. You will also visit Gaudi's Sagrada Familia and drive Montjuic for a panoramic view of the city. In the afternoon we suggest a visit to the Spanish Village or the Picasso Museum (entrance fees not included). The buildings there represent all the architectonic styles typical for Spain.

Day 4 - Barcelona / Nice
Depart for Nice by coach. There will be two rest stops and a stop for lunch en route. On arrival, enjoy a panoramic tour of Nice, before being transferred to your hotel for dinner and the night.

Day 5 - Nice / Monaco / Florence
Morning half day guided tour of Monaco, which will show you such sights as the Castle, Place Garibaldi and jet-setting Monte Carlo (all sites to be seen from outside only). In the afternoon, depart for Florence. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel near Florence for dinner and the night.

Day 6 - Florence
Half day guided tour to include such sights as Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, the Duomo, and Santa Croce. The church of Santa Croce is paved with 276 tombstones of the most famous Italians (Michaelangelo, Dante, Machiavelli, etc.). In the afternoon, we recommend a visit the Uffizi Museum (entrance fee not included), one of the greatest museums in the world containing the works of Michaelangelo, Botticelli, Raffaelo and more.

Day 7 - Florence / Perugia / Assisi
Depart for Perugia. Enjoy a stroll with Tour Escort in this beautiful city. Interesting sights include Piazza 4 de Novembre and Prior's Palace. Continue to Assisi for a walking tour of this beautiful medieval town with your Tour Escort. The most interesting site is the Basilica of St. Francis, from where you can appreciate beautiful views of the Valley of Trasimeno.

Day 8 - Florence / Rome
Depart for Rome. In the afternoon, enjoy a half day guided tour of Rome to include the Roman Forum, the Coliseum (from outside), Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and more. The Coliseum was inaugurated in AD 80, and was also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, after its initiator. The name Colosseo came from the colossal statue of Nero, which stood nearby. Transfer to your hotel for dinner and the night.

Day 9 - Rome
Half day guided sightseeing tour of religious Rome to include St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in Christianity, covering an area of 23,000 square meters and with a capacity of over 60,000 people. In front of the Basilica is St. Peter's Square, designed so that the greatest number of people could see the Pope give his blessing. You will also see the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. It is the burial place of Saint Paul the Apostle. It features a fascinating array of historical, religious and artistic sights to explore. The afternoon is free to explore Rome with your Tour Escort.

Day 10 - Day of Return
Return to Toronto or Montreal.
