Tour itinerary
Day 1 - Day of departure
Depart on your overnight flight from Toronto or Montreal to Paris via a European gateway.

Day 2 - Paris
On arrival in Paris, you will be met by our ground operator and transferred to your hotel. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner at your hotel, followed by a panoramic tour of "Paris by Night".

Day 3 - Paris
Buffet breakfast, followed by a half day guided sightseeing around Paris to include the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Place de la Concorde, the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral and much more. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Paris at your own pace. In the evening, after dinner, enjoy a 1-hour Seine Cruise on the Bateaux Mouches.

Day 4 - Paris / Versailles
After breakfast, depart on a half day guided tour to the Palace of Versailles, the creation of the French monarchy at the moment of its greatest splendour. Consisting of the great palace, the gardens and the Trianons, it is a wonderfully harmonious composition of building and landscape, the definitive monument to French classicism. The afternoon is free for shopping and/or further exploring this beautiful city at your own pace. Dinner will be on your own.

Day 5 - Paris / Beaune
Depart for Beaune by TGV. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure to explore this beautiful city at your own pace. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel.

Day 6 - Beaune / Cote de Nuits
After breakfast, enjoy a half day guided tour of Beaune, the epicentre of one of the world's great wine regions. Beaune is also renowned for its artistic heritage. Fortified in 1368, it was the residence of the Dukes of Burgundy before they moved to Dijon. You will also enjoy a tour to the Cote de Nuits, celebrated for its noble red wines made from the choice Pinot Noir grape (Nuits, Vosne, Vougeot, Chambolle, Morey, Gevrey). Your tour will include a visit to one of the famous wineries and tasting some of the area's great red wines. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel.

Day 7 - Beaune / Lyons
After breakfast, depart for Lyons, a city with two millennia of history, and France's second largest city. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure in Lyons. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel.

Day 8 - Lyons
After breakfast, enjoy a half day guided sightseeing tour of Lyons, to include Fourviere Hill, St. John's Cathedral and St. Jean Quarter. The afternoon is at leisure. Dinner this evening is on your own.

Day 9 - Lyons / Avignon
Depart for Avignon. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure to explore at your own pace. Protected by its ramparts, the historic center of Avignon is a lively center of art and culture. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel.

Day 10 - Avignon
After breakfast, enjoy a half day guided sightseeing tour of Avignon. See such sights as the Palace of the Popes, St. Benezet Bridge and the ramparts. The afternoon is at leisure. Dinner this evening will be on your own.

Day 11 - Avignon / Aix en Provence / Nice
After breakfast, depart for Aix-en-Provence, one of France's most elegant cities. Explore the center on foot, stroll along shaded Cours Mirabeau, admire its famous cafes and fountains, and discover colorful squares. In the afternoon, continue to Nice, where you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and the night.

Day 12 - Nice / Monaco
Buffet breakfast at your hotel, followed by a half day guided tour of Nice and Monaco. The afternoon is at leisure to rest and do your last-minute souvenir shopping. Dinner and overnight will be in Nice.

Day 13 - Day of Return
Transfer to the airport in Marseilles in order to take your return flight to Toronto or Montreal.
